Game 8 - Los Angeles Lakers

I'm going to try out several differnt things on this blog over the next while so bear with me. I'll find my niche. This one is my attempt to analyze the upcoming games. This will either make me look like a fool or make me look like a genius. Probably the former.

Tonights game against the Lakers will be a tough one to win. That's right I'm calling for a loss. I'm a huge Raptors fan, but I'm not delusional. Kobe is one of the premiere players in the game and no one has shown they can guard him effectively. Lamar Odom is on a tear this year and the emergence of youngsters Andrew Bynum and Luke Walton have really helped the lakers expedite the re-building process. Both Odom and Walton, versitile players who can play multiple postions, are going to create matchup problems for the Raptors. I'm also preparing for a monster game from Bynum provided the Raptors don't go at him and put in him foul trouble. The only clear advantages that I see are at the point. TJ Ford should have a good game playing against the at times inept Smush Parker. Chris Bosh is going to have a more difficult time in the post playing against Odom and Bynum than he did with the Warriors front court, but eh should still have a good game. I would expect his rebounding numbers to be lower than that of his league leading 13.9 rpg.

Final Score
Lakers 106
Raptors 98
